Stakes Are High For Kathy Griffin’s Debut On FASHION POLICE (VIDEO)
FASHION POLICE returns Monday January 12 on E! and new host Kathy Griffin begins her tenure as host in a white hot spotlight.
The panel will critique the red carpet fashions from the previous night’s 2015 Golden Globe Awards show. Red carpet review shows are special events on FASHION POLICE and Griffin knows it.
Yet, what better way to show she is up to the task of filling the shoes of the woman who made the show must-see TV for celebs who learned if they were given a thumbs up or a thumbs down from Joan Rivers?
Kathy Griffin is not the only one making her debut on the set.
Brad Goreski has been added to the panel to join regulars Giuliana Rancic and Kelly Osbourne.
He steps in as fellow stylist and longtime FASHION POLICE regular George Kotsiopoulos steps out. George, who sat opposite Joan Rivers for a very long time has upped his game by designing his first fashion collection for QVC, according to fashion media reports.
Goreski is best known for his time on The Rachel Zoe Project and two seasons on his own Bravo reality show It’s a Brad Brad World.
After Joan’s death in September 2014, her daughter Melissa who exec produces the show decided to take a hiatus. She announced FASHION POLICE would continue, but time was needed to reload and of course to choose a new host.
Griffin was a close friend of Rivers and someone who credited the deceased comedian for paving the way for other women, like herself who specialized in shade-throwing on A-list celebs.
She paid homage to Rivers during her most recent stint on CNN’s New Year Eve’s show when she wore a vintage custom-designedn. fur that belonged to Joa
Kathy is a relative new comer to the world of fashion and fashion critique. Rivers congratulated the redhead for getting with the program during an appearance on FASHION POLICE from a few years ago.
